Set daily goals or create a to-do list. Each time you check something off, you will feel a sense of accomplishment.
Schedule favorite activities on a calendar or a timetable. This will help get structure back into your life.
Focus on your good qualities and strengths. It’s very easy to get wrapped up in the negatives but remember you do have positives as well.
Say positive and encouraging affirmations before you start your day. Start by saying them a few times in the mirror and a few times before bed. “I am in control,” “I can do this,” “I will do this assignment,”
Ask friends and family members for advice. If you find yourself in a rut, ask someone else and see what they suggest. Who knows? You might change something.
Change your scenery. Sometimes, stepping outside and walking around can do wonders. If you find yourself cramped in your dorm room or in the library studying, step out and stretch your legs every once in a while.
Do something creative like writing, drawing, singing, or what makes you feel good. It gives your brain a nice distraction.
If you have been alone for a while, find a group of friends or go to a social event for a few hours. Your mind will thank you later.
Move around, even if it’s walking around in circles. It will give your brain a chance to recharge.
Nibble on your favorite food once you finish an assignment. It will motivate yu to do more and you get to eat afterwards! It’s a win-win situation!
Volunteer! Sometimes it takes helping others to help yourself. You might even make their day.
